Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What type of water filter is NewLine UPS3?

The NewLine UPS3 is a three-stage ultrafiltration system designed to filter drinking water. The system reduces chlorine, unpleasant odors and tastes, and mechanical and organic impurities.

What impurities does the system reduce?

UPS3 reduces chlorine, organic and mechanical impurities, sand, rust, sediment accumulated in pipes, pesticides, phenols, colloidal particles, and the content of some heavy metals. The system also improves the taste and smell of water.

Does UPS3 reduce water hardness and limescale?

No. The UPS3 is designed to filter drinking water and improve its taste and quality. To reduce water hardness and limescale, a water softener or reverse osmosis system is needed.

What is the difference between UPS3 and a reverse osmosis system?

UPS3 uses a 0.1-micron ultrafiltration membrane and retains natural minerals in the water. The reverse osmosis system performs deeper filtration and also reduces most dissolved salts, hardness, and other small substances in the water.

Where is UPS3 installed and how compact is it?

The system is installed under the kitchen sink and attached to the inside wall of the cabinet. Filtered water is supplied to the user through a separate drinking water faucet. The dimensions of UPS3 are 340 × 260 × 90 mm, so the system takes up little space and is easily installed under the kitchen sink, on the inside wall of the cabinet.

How often are the cartridges replaced and how much does their replacement cost?

The recommended cartridge replacement interval is 6 months. The exact lifespan may depend on water quality, consumption volume, and the amount of impurities in the water.

After the first 6 months, the first two cartridges are replaced, with a total cost of ₾105.

After 12 months, all three cartridges are replaced, with a total cost of ₾245.

The annual cost of cartridges totals ₾350.
